Hi Craig, I think this is a duplicate of https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71409 With accessibility installed and active in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Accessibility - Support assistive ...... Disable the option, you need to restart.
I don't have Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Accessibility - Support assistive ...... to disable. Just a set of Miscellaneous options and Options for high contrast appearance. Unchecking them all and restarting improved the situation a little, but I get the impression it's more a video display issue. Sorry, not techy enough to go deeper. Happy to look at logs or try some diagnostics with advice. See the comment 3, settings as NEEDINFO. Please set as Unconfirmed again after you provide more informations. Thank you.

To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Tested with 5.2.3.3 / Windows 7. Editing is pretty quick, but saving could be faster.
