Description Ulrich Windl 2015-09-08 13:40:06 UTC
When replacing a space with a non-breaking space while recording changes, there still is a line wrap at the non-breaking space. Only after the changes (delete space, add non-breaking space) are accepted, the line is no longer wrapped at the non-breaking space.
Effectively this means you cannot preview the effect of the non-breaking space.

1. Inserted dummy text with dt + f3.
2. Selected the space between at & night in lines 1 & 2.
4. Edit - Track changes - Record changes (Ctrl+Shift+E)
5. Ctrl+Shift+Space to replace the regular space

Confirmed line breaking staying the same.

Tested with 7.3.6.2 in Windows and 7.3.6.2 in Linux. It seems the bug is still there. I tested the original document in Linux and created a new one in Windows, but both show the defect: A non-breaking space replacing a normal space in "track changes" mode does not prevent a line break; just as if the non-breaking space weren't there.

Once I accept the change with the non-breaking space, the non-breaking space has the desired effect.

The correct preview is already there in the Hide Changes mode. The Show Changes mode shows also the deleted space, too, which causes the break, but that is normal.

The real problem here, that there is no visual feedback about the tracked deletion, and as a new regression, about the tracked insertion in Show Changes mode.
