This is how it looks

Kubuntu 15.04
Qt 5.4.1
Plasma 4:5.3.1

30bit display color depth configuration.

Only few programs suffer this issue - LibreOffice too.

first of all you should try upgrading to latest 4.4.x release.

the 4.4.4.3 is already available but if you wait few more days the 4.4.5.2 will be officially released too.

then test again and tell if issue persists.

Ok.
So I'am waiting for official ubuntu package.
I will write test results.
Thanks

You mean – 32-bit? 30-bit would be invalid.

> Only few programs suffer this issue - LibreOffice too.

Then it’s NOTOURBUG – your graphic card setup is almost surely to blame here.

I mean 10b R + 10b G + 10b B gives 30 bit to LCD panel.
It is connected with:
Section "Screen"
DefaultDepth 30

http://http.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/352.21/README/README.txt

Chapter 30 - especially last part of chapter.

has it ever worked in previous releases? if yes, tell which one.

I can confirm this bug with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2, Build ID: 5.0.3.2-11.fc23, Locale: en-GB(en_GB.UTF-8)

Intel 6-core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 500GB solid-state HDD, GTX 970 graphics card.

Operating system: Fedora 23, core 4.2.6-301.fc23.x86_64

VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM204 [GeForce GTX 970] (rev a1)

Also have the same problem with GIMP as in Comment 6.

Similar problem with Zyzzyva but solved with:

export QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM=native

Imported images are also displayed in a similar strange manner.
Comment 11 tommy27 2016-03-14 06:16:31 UTC
