Created attachment 100261 [details] Document Notes view Issue - many of us are using larger screens for desktop work - it would be useful for Users to be able to add Sticky Notes to documents we are composing in Writer. Sticky Notes (see attached screenshot) are NOT Comments - they serve a different function for the writer - for example as reminders in the construction of a first draft - allowing the writer to arrange ideas on the page before committing to any sequence. Comments serve more of an editing - collaborating function - for example helping to make transition from 1st to 2nd drafts. Thanks.

Nothing to add from UX POV. Screenshot looks fine, would be just a simple, free floating widget with a text input (close/remove per context menu). Could be enhanced by the comment-per-author coloring scheme. Doubt this feature is ODF conform and it wont be available cross-application. Could be limited to LibreOffice with the drawback that dealing with different applications probably clears the notes. What do you think, Michael, Regina?
