When I open Insert > special character the software shows a message box "Fatal error" e crash down.

On Linux 32 bits I do not have this problem.
Maybe someone else can confirm.

Please try resetting your profile: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

For now closing as WFM as we can't get confirmation - please first try the fresh profile, after which point, if you have access to a second computer please try to reproduce on the second computer.

If you're able to reproduce on a single computer with a fresh profile please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we'll go from there. 

As this bug cannot be reproduced by two QA members I am lowering this to MAJOR as it seems like it's affecting one (or a small percentage) of users at this point.
