Description Torben 2015-07-28 12:36:16 UTC
When I open document files that are stored within a Bittorrent Sync folder, LibreOffce seems to be far more unstable as when I open files that are stored within a regular folder. But even worse is the fact, that the files within the Sync folder are often deleted after LibreOffice crashed (without a chance to recover them!).

Especially the problem with the file deletion is extremely annoying and stopped me from working with LibreOffice under OSX.

I haven't investigated into this bug very deeply, but maybe the lacking support for native file locking under OSX might cause this problem...

@Torben : we need more information as to how you've set up your bittorrent sync, otherwise it is going to be difficult to confirm / deny that there is a problem.

 - how is your torrent sync set up ?
 - where does the folder reside in your OSX system ?
 - how do you open the files in the torrent sync folder ?

I don't have a bittorrent sync, nor do I know how to set one up.

Setting to NEEDINFO pending requested information.
