5.0.0.1 Windows 64 -- assume this is RC1
Windows 8.1

Writer crashes opening .txt and/or .odt files.

Uninstalled, scrumbed system, reinsatlled - still crashed.

Load 5.0.0.1 Windows 86 - does NOT crash??

Please try resetting user profile, reinstall the program doesn't delete it.
