SETUP
LibreOffice 4.4.0.3 on Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon, 32-bit (tested on Master as well), two monitors, sidebar docked to the LEFT side of the screen, is set to styles and formatting and is open.

REPRODUCE
1. Open a document.
2. Open another document.
3. Return to the previous document.

EXPECTED RESULT
The sidebar should display correctly

ACTUAL RESULT
The sidebar controls slide back, leaving a clear grey area and making some buttons unreadable/unreachable, as seen in the attached image.

Additional note: this does not occur when the sidebar is docked to the right of the window (which it is by default).
