Description Kevin O'Brien 2014-12-23 16:02:02 UTC
When you try to Save as Template you cannot see the My Templates folder for Impress, so cannot save a Template. I tested this in Windows and Linux on two different machines, so I don't think it is OS or hardware dependent.

Hi Kevin,

Isn't it that the "folder for Impress" is just a view on the templates in the folder that you select?
When not having made a special folder, all is in 'My Templates'
So selecting that one, and then saving a template, will save the template there.

So I can't confirm the problem..

Are you saving through menu File-Template-Save as template?

If you go to File-->Templates-->Save As Template, the only tab you are presented is the Documents tab, with its associated My Templates folder.

Hi Kevin,

You can make as much folders as you like.
Default are My templates, MedaWiki and Presentation Backgrounds

When you start the Dialog from File > Templates > Save as Template, you can save a presentation in _any_ of the folders.

The _tab_ Presentations only is visible in the dialog when you start with File > New > Templates. It is a filter, not a folder.

HTH,
Cor
