Description iSoph 2014-07-04 14:36:27 UTC
Problem description:
When editing text, and trying to switch from one keyboard to another, the switch is not taken into account in Libre Office. I can’t switch to the Canadian keyboard neither with a key combination, nor by clicking in the screen top menu.
If I switch to another application or the finder, the keyboard has been switched.
If I switch outside of Libre Office, the switch is not taken into account when I return to my document.

Steps to reproduce:
1. edit a document
2. try to switch keyboards

Current behavior:
Keyboard icon doesn’t change, switch is not taken into account.

Expected behavior:
Keyboard icon should change and switch should be taken into account.

Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.2.5.2 release
Last worked in: 4.2.4.2 release

Hi iSoph,

I tested your issue on 4.2.5 on Linux and it doesnt have the same behaviour. What key combination are you using on your Mac and which OS X version are you running.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for looking into it.
I run MacOs X 10.7.5.
The key combination I use is either command-space (fast switching between two main keyboards) or command-option-space (switching between all available keyboards).
Since I reported the bug, I have rebooted after installing Libre Office and it seems to work better. command-space and using the keyboard menu work.
command-option-space doesn’t work but I think this was already the case before.
Sorry for reporting before reboot.

Hi Soph,

Glad to hear that a restart solved your issue. Thank you for taking the time to report the bug and we look forward to any others that you may have.
