Description pb 2014-05-30 21:09:13 UTC
Problem description:

I frequently want to copy the formatting from one column to another. The easiest way is to select the whole column by clicking on the column head,

Steps to reproduce:
1. insert new (blank) column
2. select another existing whole column by clicking on the column head.
3. select format paintbrush by clicking on paintbrush tool
4. click on column head of new blank column to copy formatting.

Current behavior:
1. Does nothing.
2. Then generates an error when clicking a random place.

Expected behavior:
Copy formatting of entire column to target column.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.2.4.2 release

Select the column.
Click paintbrush button.
Click on the firs cell (not in the column head) where to past format (not in the column head).

Also there is a way to copy a column and insert as new place.

Select the column.
[Ctrl][Alt] drag
to a new place where copy.

Thank you. I did not ask for help on how to do this some other way. Rather, I am suggesting a way that is the same as what Excel does, and also which is more intuitive than the current way to do it. I am aware that there are other ways to do it.

I am agree it's more intuitive select the column where to paste the format.
