Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. I tried to update the Language Tool extension (to 2.5) and got the error message »Could not create Java implementation loader«. 2. A short look in the options showed that LO doesn't find any JRE, although one is installed by default and JDK 1.8.0 is installed optionally. 3. With the system integrated LO-Version (LinuxMint 16 64-bit, LO 4.1.3.2) there is no problem (but that version of LO has other, serious bugs with finding altered text). Current behavior: LO does not recognize installed Java. Expected behavior: Guess … ;) Operating System: Linux (Other) Version: 4.2.2.1 release Last worked in: 4.1.3.2 release
I fail to reproduce, tested using Linux Mint 16 x64 with LibreOffice Version: 4.2.2.1 Build ID: 420m0(Build:1) @reporter: if you go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Advanced Is your Java version selected (make sure the radio button is coloured)? Kind regards, Joren
I have completely reinstalled the entire system. This time I did not deinstall the default installation of LO, thus 4.1.3.2 and 4.2.2.1 are running parallel. The result is the same: 4.1.3.2 recognizes the installed JRE, 4.2.2.1 does not. Of course, the option to use Java is checked. But 4.1.3.2 finds both installed JRE while 4.2.2.1 doesn't find any.
Hmm, strange. I don't have a solution in mind right now. Marking back to UNCONFIRMED so someone else can have a look. (I didn't install them parallel, I did use the PPA (https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/libreoffice-4-2) Kind regards, Joren
Thanks, with the PPA everything's fine. (I downloaded the 3 files and installed the deb files with "sudo dpkg -i *.deb".)
