Description rober 2014-03-06 09:51:24 UTC
Problem description:
I copy the filtered result of a query. When I paste it in a Sheet of Calc, the last row is duplicated.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Execute a query
2. Filter the result by the value of one of the column of the result.
3. Select and copy all cells
4. Open a Openoffice Calc
5. Paste

Current behavior:
Appears all results with the last row duplicated.

Expected behavior:
Appears all results.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.4.2 release

Tested here with OpenSUSE 12.3 64bit rpm-Linux. Couldn't confirm for LO 4.1.5.3

How did you select all calls of the query? Mouseclick in the left upper corner?

Do you really mean "open a *Openoffice* Calc"?

Please attach a document that we can easily filter - it's best if we see the exact results you see with the exact same document. The simpler the better.

Marking as NEEDINFO - once you attach a simple test case (also would be ice to have a test case of the calc duplicated values) mark as UNCONFIRMED.

Thanks!

Query copy+paste problem
Comment 5 rober 2014-03-10 08:07:16 UTC
Hello,
I attach a database. In It I do:
- I execute the query "query_bug" (result 26 rows)
- In the result, I click in a value "GM" of the column "GRADO"
- I click the icon "AutoFiltro (in spanish)"
- The results now are 14 rows.
- I click in the left upper corner to select all rows
- I click the right button, and select "copy"
- I open a LibreOffice Calc
- I click in A1 cell, right button, "paste"
The last row appears duplicated (16 rows= title+14rows).

Have tested the attachment.
Works right in LO 3.3.4. Since LO 3.4.0beta1 one row is added in Calc.

When you filter the data and click in the left upper corner of the query (or, as I tried, the query as view), you could see at the top of the window something like row 1 to 14 (42).
All versions, which add a row in Calc, show this misleading message. Seems the query-editor couldn't count the max. numbers of rows.

If you try to copy the query without a filter it will work. It shows 1 to 28 (28) and copies 28 rows to Calc. But when you set the filter an remove it is the same behavior with the whole query. Shows here 1 to 28 (70) ore some other numbers all greater than 28.

I will set the bug to new, the version to the first the bug appears, the platform to "all" (my system is OpenSUSE 12.3 64bit rpm Linux) and the keyword "regression".

TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@46-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-07-28_06:17:50

15 rows= title+14rows

Adding Whiteboard:bibisectRequest
Note that as above this may have already been fixed. If it has, then it should be checked which branches the fix has made it onto, then the bug closed.

This bug disapperaed with LO 4.1.6.2. LO 4.3.5 also hasn't this buggy behavior. Could reproduce it with LO 4.1.5.3 and all earlier versions of LO.
Up to LO 4.1.5.3 it also shows the wrong counting of rows when marking the whole query-result: row 1 of 14(40). Since LO 4.1.6.2 it shows row 1 of 14(14) and copies all the 14 rows and the header, nothing else.

Seems the bug has been gone. No fix, so I will set it as WORKSFORME. Feel free to reopen, if you could reproduce with LO 4.3 or another version, which will get more bugfixes.
