Description Richard_416282 2014-01-05 08:42:23 UTC
Problem description:

Installation to 'New' custom path does not ask to install QuickStarter

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download '4.3.0.0.alpha0+master' from 'dev' ftp/http
2. Run Installation in 'non-priveledged USer Mode'
3. Installation starts
4. Installation gives options to 'customize' path
-Select Default Path
C:\Program Files(x86)\LibreOfficeDev

Current behavior:
Installs program Correct, but no option for 'Load Quickstarter

Expected behavior:

Checkbox For Quickstarter (Default is ticked) to show as part of "Options"

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
Last worked in: 4.1.4.2 release

Tested on:
LibreOffice 4.3.5
Windows 8.1 x64

My results:
During the install prompt I do get a "load libreoffice on startup" or something similar with a checkbox.

So as far as this bug - from what I can understand - it worksforme. I suspect this was a side effect of bug 80927 where we disabled the QuickStarter due to a serious crashing issue.

That being said, there is a separate issue that needs to get reported. This is that the checkmark during install doesn't actually work. If you check it, then reboot, LibreOffice does not load on startup. But there is an easy workaround (go to tools -> options -> memory -> check "Load LibreOffice during system start-up."

It is a bug, and I'll file it now.
