Comment 1 Joel Madero 2013-12-21 01:54:27 UTC
Cannot confirm.
Attached is a file created in 4.1.3.2, you'll see that B6 has a conditional format that is saved correctly and working.

Marking as WFM

Try resetting your profile https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

If that still fails - what distro are you running and how did you install?

Mark as UNCONFIRMED if resetting doesn't help & you answer the previous questions.

Thanks!

Joel : I don't think it is my Profile because the problem occurs on both my home Laptop AND Desktop
AND on my sports club's laptop.

The first two are using Mageia 3 and the latter is MS Windows. (v4.1.4 first two; the latter is
v4.1.3 I think).

I will attach the ods spreadsheet that is problematic.

If, for example, you choose '5 x 5tp' and highlight cells C4 across and down to L8 and then do
ctrl-C (copy).

Then go to 'Division 2' and highlight the same cells; do a Paste Special using only 'Formats' you
will see the winning scores change to red.

Now save and recall. THE SCORES ARE ALL BLACK AGAIN!!

Thanks for the attachment - we'll move it back to UNCONFIRMED and someone (perhaps me) will check it out hopefully soon :-D
Comment 6 retired 2013-12-23 13:10:03 UTC
Not sure what to make of this. I just notice that in Joel's test document I find conditional formatting with Apply Style and a red box and that works, while in Mike's test document I do not see such conditional formatting.

Testing further repro steps from comment4:

* open clubchamp test doc
* go to 5 x 5tp sheet
* then what? "highlight the same cells"? Unclear.

Please be as specific as possible. Just write down exact cells and re-rpo steps and we'll be happy to help testing.

Please provide exact repro steps, after that set the bug to UNCONFIRMED.
Comment 7 Mike Finch 2013-12-24 21:25:35 UTC
Basically, copy the rectangle of cells from C4 : L8. This will/should include the conditional
formatting formulae etc.

Special Paste over the identical cells in 'Division 2' using only 'Formats'. The winning scores turn
to red! This is correct.

Save the spreadsheet and then exit it.

Reload the spreadsheet and the red formatting has returned to black.

THE LATTER IS THE PROBLEM!!

Comment 9 Dominique Boutry 2014-01-13 13:52:28 UTC
Not reproduced with LibO 4.2.0.1 rc1 on Win7 : after copy/paste, save, close and reload, the red scores remain red.

I noticed a large number of cell styles (> 410). May it affect CALC behaviour in some situations ?
Comment 10 Nicolas R 2014-04-01 15:16:57 UTC
Found a close/resembling bug with conditional formatting.
If the sheet name contains apostrophe ( division ' 2) , conditional formatting is lost on save ( Loo 4.1.5, windows 7 pro 64 bits).
Same bug or do I need to open a new bug
Comment 11 Joel Madero 2014-04-01 15:24:09 UTC
This is almost positively a duplicate of another confirmed bug ( I don't have the #) and has been fixed in 4.2 - 4.1 is nearing EOL so if it's still a problem in 4.1 I wonder if it's going to be backported.

Can someone else confirm that it works fine in 4.2? If so I'm tempted to mark as WORKSFORME

Tested with 4.2.2.1 and bug fixed for me( apostrophe in sheet prevent saving of conditional formatting).
Sorry for my wrong search.
