Description Dan Dascalescu 2013-07-22 09:55:03 UTC
Ctrl+K does nothing right now, but it's a shortcut that thousands of users got used to from Word and Google Docs. It would be great if Ctrl+K popped up the hyperlink dialog by default.
Operating System: All
Version: 4.0.3.3 release

Hi Dan,

thanks for the report.
I set this to New, Enhancement, and version 3.3.0.

Regards,
Cor

Imo very easy and highly important fix. Not sure why this is not in LO yet.

cmd + k is the standard on OS X for adding a link anywhere form Apples own Mail.app to M§ Word. It's everywhere. Seems the situation is the same for windows. So let's add this important shortcut and be done.

Would be great if this could get addressed.

Joren, you did some changes in the shortcuts. I wonder if you might be interested into fixing this ;-)
Comment 4 Petr Mladek 2013-08-20 12:38:13 UTC
I also set proper EasyHack flags :-)

IMHO, it should be enough to one or more entries to officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Accelerators.xcu. I am not sure if could be a global or application specific shortcut. It needs checking ;-)

I'll take this on, shall be implemented and tested by tomorrow GMT.

An update.

I am very new to LibreOffice. So this is taking a little longer than it would take some of you seasoned LibreOffice guys out there, I'm sure.

However, as this is marked as an easy-hack I'm sure that's not too much of an issue.

I am still actively working on this issue.

After some very useful discussion with Petr I have progressed quite a bit.

I will keep this bug updated if any other delays occur. But I think I'm almost done :)

Waiting for this to appear in the master build. OS X nightly builds seem to be stuck on 16th sept. http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/MacOSX-X86_64@43/
Comment 9 Daniel Brown 2013-10-03 01:57:57 UTC
This is now resolved, and in the current master branch :)

Perfect. Can't verify since nightly builds for OS X are still broken but am really looking forward to using this.
