I experiencing disappear of data filter after sorting other table.

to reproduce the bug, do the following steps:

1. Create/open a spreadsheet with table and make a data filtering
2. Create a table somewhere else (at same sheet or at new sheet)
3. Sort that new table (Data >> Sort)

Not sure how to reproduce this. Could you provide more detailed steps on how to reproduce the problem?

Hi Paijo I have verified what you comment.

I think it is not a bug, works as designed.

I can not find now, but as I can remember you need to define the ranges to sort/filter in Menu/Data/Define ranges, to have more than one filter in the same sheet and save the sort options with the defined range.

Changed the status to resolved notabug, please if you are not agree reopen it.

Hi mariosv,

If it is limitation of Calc, then I agree this case is not a bug.

I just try to tell that if I had a filtered area, then sort something outside the filter range/area (by Select/highlight a range outside the filtered table/area then click Menu->Data->Sort...), then the filter is gone, and I must make a new one.

In this case this is a request for enhancement, changed the status to NEW.

You can preserve the filter:
1 assigned a name range to filtered data, as commented.
2 recreate the filter.

Now you can sort other data without lost the filter.

I think you see that there: bug 45125.
