I'm not a developer at all, so I think the best thing you can do is to join the dev-channel (irc://chat.freenode.net/libreoffice-dev) and ask there. Due the fact it is weekend now, so not that many developers are around (most of them are around at Europe work time), so sending an email to the developer list will work too :).
