Created attachment 60312 [details] Screen shot showing bug. After opening a spreadsheet, the input line in the formula bar is not high enough. Text in the box is truncated vertically so only the top part of each character is visible. After expanding the formula bar then collapsing it, the height is correct. Switching to a different tab and then back again also corrects the height.
I reported the same bug a while back. See: https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48278 I believe the bug is related to using an xorg screen dpi > the 96 dpi default, because I experienced the same behavior in older versions of OpenOffice when using dpi > 96. I was happy when that bug finally got fixed, but now it's back again. I don't think anybody does any QA testing on higher than average res monitors (set up properly to actually use their higher dpi) before releases. You could confirm this by running: xdpyinfo |grep resolution and checking to see if your resolution is set to something other then 96 dpi.
Thanks for the suggestion but my resolution is 96x96 dots per inch.
