LO 3.5.1 Archlinux-armv7h
as normal user i catch segfaults on splash screen. in gdb i see:

Seeing it's a bug found on ARM arch, it could be particularly interesting to have:
- a bt with symbols 
- could you give a try to a newer LO version (3.5.6 or 3.6.2) with a brand new LO profile (so we're sure there's not problem linked to Java, extensions or others)
- could you indicate your Java version?

With no extra info, we can't do more here.

Macau: if you still reproduce this with a newer version (last one is 3.6.4) don't hesitate to reopen the tracker and provide information asked in my previous comment.
