I can't confirm that with the US English locale on Linux.

I cannot confirm it with Debian Testing AMD64, Germanophone version of LO 3.5.0 RC1, NVidia GeForce 6150SE (1024x768) ... :(

I confirm the bug (missing pixels) with LibO 3.5 RC1 (english + german) on Windows XP (pixture attached) and on Windows Vista 64.
