Incriminated XLS file

Recentely i've upgraded from go-oo 2.4.1 to OOo 3.1.1 on a user pc (Win2000).
She reported me (and i've verified) big slowness in working with a specific XLS file (attached), in particular on opening and scrolling: the cpu activity is on the top and OOo doesn't react for minutes. Then the cpu goes idle, but if try to move the cursor, OOo starts to not responding again for some times, like before.
Now, her machine is not performant (AMD K6-2 400 MHz, with 256 MB) but i've verified that behaviour on my pc too (Celeron 2 GHz, 1 GB, Win2000) and on a colleague very recent laptop (Core2, 4 GB, Win7): indeed in the last two cases we have to wait less, but it's rather frustrating to work on that document.

I'm reporting here because my pc uses LibO 3.3.0, so this problem is present also here. My colleague, instead use OOo3.3.0-rc10.

I don't know with which application this XLS was generated: it comes from the outside.

And i repeat: i can edit well this XLS with go-oo 2.4.1 (slow on opening, but normal afterwards). No problem and very fast with Office97.

Cesare.

-> Kohei who will appreciate a performance hogging document to play with
Comment 2 Kohei Yoshida 2011-01-26 07:56:06 UTC
Setting target to 3.4, but no guarantee for getting it fixed by that target. Need profiling first.

not reproducible with LibO 4.2.4.2 under Win7x64
