Description andriusr@yahoo.com 2024-05-07 05:36:46 UTC
On web site in system requirements it is announced that 24.2.3 version requires MacOS 10.14 or higher.
However, this is not true, installer does not allow copying files on my 10.14 machine.
By try and error I have found that latest supported on 10.14 versions is:

Version: 7.5.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: ca8fe7424262805f223b9a2334bc7181abbcbf5e
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_LT.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Obviously, it would be great if latest versions would support 10.14, if that is not possible, then information on web site should be updated with correct information.

I checked and I can't find any such web site:

https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2024/05/02/libreoffice-24-2-3-community/
"Minimum requirements for proprietary operating systems are Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 and Apple macOS 10.15."

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/7.6#Mac
"LibreOffice 7.6 requires macOS 10.15 or newer to run."

https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/system-requirements/#Apple
"macOS 10.15 or newer"

Can you please give a link to where the incorrect information is?

It is on the somewhat convoluted download website: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/

I just updated the text string, so it should be fixed now.

Thanks. Can you also change the Mac OS X string?

Done too.
Comment 7 steve 2024-05-07 12:36:23 UTC
since actual changes were made setting this to fixed instead of notabug
Comment 8 Buovjaga 2024-05-07 12:42:07 UTC
That wasn't the topic, though, so keeping as notabug. And website issues are not reported on Bugzilla anyway.
