Created attachment 193607 [details] Example file with long text as value of a user field With commit Ide9a004a93c9a0a149a9c369a12eca771973fd30 the value field has been changed to a scrollable field. It would make sense to use the available space in the dialog page more efficiently.

Oliver Specht committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/8e86df886f84fe69f13cfc367a5dd843e6ea917c tdf#160621 Redesign name and value fields in variabe fields dialog page It will be available in 24.8.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours.
