Description Mauro Liberatore 2024-02-21 03:01:14 UTC
Description:
I have created a big workbook that we use for Client Group financial statements. We use images of bank account balances, investment reports, etc in the workbook, which we reference to other sheets. I have been using the Linux Mint built in version of Calc for about 3 months now. The workbook was originally created in excel, then I modified the workbook in Linux Mint version of Calc -no issues arose. I downloaded the Flatpak version, and opened the same workbook. However, on the sheets that have many (i.e. more than 5) on them, the following happened:
1. The rows on the sheet were all different and random heights.
2. The images that were nicely spaced out in the Linux Mint version. In the Flatpak version, the same images were all bunched up into a group of images, one overlapping the other. On another sheet, some images were missing completely;
3. In another instance in the Flatpak version, I copy and pasted an image into the same sheet. But the paste didn't work:
a. In one instance, there was a "clear box" where the image should be;
b. In another instance, when I left the sheet and returned, it was gone....
c. When I saved and closed the workbook, after some more "cut and paste" of images, and reopened the same workbook, the most recently added images were now completely missing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a workbook in Word, with many sheets. Paste images down the sheet for about 500 lines, neatly aligned
2.Use latest Linux Mint version of LibreOffice Calc - add some more images. Everything should be ok. Save in "Excel 365" format.
3.Open the same workbook using most recent Flatpak version of Libreoffice Calc
4. Paste more images into the workbook in Flatpak version.

Actual Results:
1. For sheets with many many images the row height was different for the whole sheet (all different heights)
2. The images that were neatly aligned from top to bottom, were either:
a. All bunched up, superimposed on each other (one pasted on top of another, for example, and overlapping)
b. Some images were missing completely from the original Linux Mint version
c. New images pasted in the workbook either disappeared, or were not saved down. When the workbook was reopened, the most of the new images were gone.

Expected Results:
When opening the workbook in the Flatpak version, the images should be aligned as in previous versions. New images pasted into the workbook should remain after saving and opening.

Reproducible: Always
