Description: I'm in Writer and editing a document; somehow I lost the selection view (reverse background in blue behind the letters); this makes it difficult to know what I'm cutting or copying. Per online searching, this is an unsolved problem for others, too. This makes my product unusable. Steps to Reproduce: 1. I don't know -- a trandom mis-typing of something, using an unknown modification key (Shift, Alt. &/or CTRL) 2. I think I may have been trying to go [CTRL]+[RT] 3. Actual Results: When I looked at my selection it looked like normal text, without the blue background normally associated with selected text. Expected Results: selection appears in reverse: blue background(black text) instead of white background; The selection should have appeared in blue background, so I can easily see what I'm about to cut. (CTRL+X) Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.4.5.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 9c0871452b3918c1019dde9bfac75448afc4b57f CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-CA (en_CA); UI: en-US Calc: CL
The 7.4.5.1 build release is well past its end of life. Please update your installation to 7.6.5 or 24.2.1 and retest. There has been considerable rework of the os/DE color theme support.
