Description mazaltov 2024-02-02 04:57:43 UTC
Description:
in right-to-left (RTL) languages, the columns are

Steps to Reproduce:
1.enable Right-to-left languages:
Menu: Tools → Options → Language Settings → Languages -> Complex layouts -> "default - hebrew"
2. Menu: Sheet -> right-to-left
3. menu: View -> freeze cells -> freeze first column

step 1 is pre-requisite to enable step 2
the order of steps 2 and 3 is not important.

Actual Results:
the whole sheet is right-to-left, but column A is on the left side

Expected Results:
well obviously, col A should be on the right, as it was before freezing columns

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
yes:
some idiot removed the option to unfreeze rows/columns from the user interface; it's not even accessiblefrom Customize dialog.

to work around that, put the cursor on A1 cell, and then go to:
View -> freeze rows and columns (it's counter-intuitive, but works)

it'll be useful during testing.

Comment 2 mazaltov 2024-02-02 05:04:08 UTC
Fixed Description:
in right-to-left (RTL) languages, the columns are orderd from right to left, column A is on the right of the window.

When applying also "column freeze" on that sheet, then column A magically goes to the left side of the window.

When unfreezing (see tip in the end of the my report) - column A returns to its right place (pun intended)
