The following software installed on the same PC could open PDFs without any issues:
- Adobe Reader
- Sumatra PDF
- Firefox web browser
- MS Edge web browser

Is this on Windows? Please copy and paste here the contents of your Help - About (LibreOffice - About on macOS) by clicking the copy button. This allows us to know more about your system.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

The following is information about the LibO that I am using.

Version: 7.6.4.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: e19e193f88cd6c0525a17fb7a176ed8e6a3e2aa1
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); UI: ja-JP
Calc: threaded
Comment 11 Buovjaga 2024-01-18 07:04:43 UTC
It is curious. Saburo has Windows Build 22621 and you have Build 19045. Might be a long shot, but I wonder if updating Windows would help?
Comment 12 jun meguro 2024-01-18 08:09:42 UTC
I have confirmed the reproducibility of the issue with the following version.

Version: 24.2.0.0.beta1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 5f390384195b7264c6e52add9e90a39790285249
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); UI: ja-JP
Calc: threaded

However, there were differences in some aspects of the phenomenon. When importing a PDF, the Draw document displayed did not contain the text
"This PDF file ~~~~ opened." and instead, a completely blank document was shown.

This behavior seems to occur in a Windows environment, including unidentified factors, when combined with relatively recent versions of LibreOffice.
On the other hand, even in the same Windows environment, LibreOffice 5.4.7 can open PDFs without being affected.

Then can you please consider bibisecting the issue to find a code change related to it?

Jun, is what is your Windows account name? Is there an accent in it by any chance? Aruñas reports that it makes a difference for them in bug 160260.
