Description:
When moving backward or forward, the cursor does not disappear from its previous position, but remains on the screen. The new one is added. Resulting in multiple cursors on the screen.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In writer type, some text.
2.When on the end of the line with the left arrow button move back
3.

Actual Results:
a|n| e|x|am|p|l|e with the standing line in the place of the cursor.

Expected Results:
an exampl|e


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Live with it for a while now. But would be nice if it can be imroved.

Can you please share the version information copied from LibreOffice > About?
Sounds similar the the Skia issue in bug 153306.

@Boudi : is Skia rendering activated in LibreOffice preferences ?

Usually, Skia rendering is activated by default now on latest macOS LO releases).


If you untick all of the Skia related options, and restart LO, does the problem still occur ?

That was my first thought too. These kind of artifact issues on macOS are nearly always linked to the render engine.

Switched Skia off restarted LO and issue disappeared.
