Description Omid 2023-10-25 11:34:39 UTC
Description:
When I open a Word document in LibreOffice Writer, the columns of tables appear significantly narrower than they do in Word, causing the content to be compressed or overlapped. How can I ensure that table column widths are preserved correctly when opening in LibreOffice and converting to pdf?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I better hand over the input to you in some way, because the word docx file is created in a way I am not familiar with. (either generated by a program or by user templates)

Actual Results:
The word document's table column widths is not same as the word file and the table in the middle of the document is unreadable.

Expected Results:
The word docx/pdf content should reflect the content in the same way as it is available in word file with format and font

Reproducible: Always

Hi QA Team,

I've removed all sensitive info from the document, but couldn't reproduce the bug, probably due to changes saved in the document. I suggest you to try creating a longer table, maybe stretching over 10 to 20 pages, instead of just three which was an assumption I get to hear from your colleague. This might help us see if the bug shows up under those conditions. Otherwise, see this bug report as closed

Best,
Omid
