Description: after many installations (updates) of Libre Office, it turned out that some Source Sans Pro fonts disappeared after installation - interestingly, italic variants are not deleted. Source Sans is set as the default font in Firefox and the problem seems to arise when Firefox is running during the Libre Office installation and the installer suggests disabling Firefox to proceed with the installation. the problem has been present for a long time, but I can not indicate a more specific version (but at least from version 6.x) Steps to Reproduce: 1. run LO installer (Firefox should be running) 2. the installer should report that the installation cannot continue due to conflicts with Firefox 3. close Firefox and proceed with the installation Actual Results: some fonts (Source Sans Pro for me) disappeared after installation - italic variants are not deleted. Expected Results: fonts should not be removed Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: pl-PL (pl_PL); UI: pl-PL Calc: CL threaded
The removal of some Source fonts was done on purpose recently for bug 136604, but copying Khaled in to check if there isn't any loose ends. Khaled, what do you think about the described interaction with Firefox?
If this issue is seen since 6.x then it is probably unrelated to my xhanges.
(In reply to خالد حسني from comment #2) > If this issue is seen since 6.x then it is probably unrelated to my xhanges. it may be earlier. I've checked release dates of LO5.x and it is possible that the problem applies to this version also. unfortunately, I avoided this problem for a long time and reinstalled the fonts after each (not very frequent) removal. but after some - quite long - time I connected these events with LO install/upgrade (those were the days of LO6 already). therefore versions 6 and 7 definitely have this problem, and version 5 very likely.
