I can't confirm with Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL threaded Only vertical alignment is greyed out (might be expected). Perhaps a Linux issue? If you like, add a sample document for testing.
Can confirm the behavior but the field "Horizontal alignment" is no longer present on my end but is replaced with just "Alignment". I think they serve the same purpose but was just renamed. I'm using the following: Version: 7.6.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 56f7684011345957bbf33a7ee678afaf4d2ba333 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-PH (en_PH); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded I also observed the following when I tried replicating the behavior: 1. The background color of the text box turns gray after selecting "Multi-line with formatting" option. It seems that the default Background color for both "Single-line" or "Multi-line" options are white while the default Background color for "Multi-line with formatting" option is gray, even without changing the value of the "Background color" field from "Default". 2. The value inputted in the "Default text" field is still shown and applied when switching from either "Single-line" or "Multi-line" option to "Multi-line with formatting" option. 3. The values selected in the "Font", "Alignment", and "Vert. Alignment" fields were grayed out and no longer applied when switching from either "Single-line" or "Multi-line" option to "Multi-line with formatting" option. They return to and apply their default values which are: (Default) for "Font" which corresponds to the Segoe UI font, Left for "Alignment", and Default for "Vert. Alignment" which corresponds to middle. 4. The entire LibreOffice Writer application turns black, except for the text box, when switching from the "Multi-line with formatting" option to the "Single-line" option. This does not happen when switching from "Multi-line" option to the "Single-line" option. I will be sending screenshot attachments of the behavior. Related to the behavior above where the application turns into a black screen, icons and parts of the application afterward become visible incrementally upon hovering over them with my cursor. The black screen becomes fixed after minimizing or maximizing the application window. Cannot replicate #4 behavior when using Safe Mode of LibreOffice Writer.

Created attachment 190263 [details] Screenshot of Black Screen with some icons appearing Icons and parts of the LibreOffice Writer application show up from the black screen after the cursor hovers over them. This is not very reliable and some icons/parts still remain black after hovering. The only reliable way to revert back the screen is to maximize or minimize the application window. Realizing this needs to be a separate bug but was just discovered through the replication of this current one.
Already seen in 3.5. Not sure what to make of this, should ask developers in the chat. It seems the logic to disable those fields happens here: https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/extensions/source/propctrlr/editpropertyhandler.cxx?r=63a9b0be#257
