Description: When selecting to spell check, a word is not very well recognized. It is assumed that the algorithm and/or the dictionary depth is not sufficient to do the job. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Select to spell-check a word such as "disside". (Should be "decide") 2.The return is poorly chosen and does not offer the proper word. 3. Actual Results: Poor choice of substitute words was returned. Expected Results: Should have more word choices in dictionary. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.2.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 49f2b1bff42cfccbd8f788c8dc32c1c309559be0 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Debian Bullseye with Xfce 4.16
I can reproduce the report in the: Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 4e4a31ac7d920c71e26ca4acd18c11ec2bd015bb CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded In my opinion, this is not a bug. The spellchecker suggests words that are very similar (in spelling) to the typed word, "disside". As "Disside" and "decide" have different alphabetical spellings, spell checkers attempt to find words more similarly spelled as the typed word, "disside".
I guess I would have expected a spell checker to list "decide" as an optional word choice. It it does not even show up, I see that as a bug.
