Description HTK300 2022-12-16 11:43:01 UTC
Description:
background startup booster called quickstart.exe causing a write error at moment opening files and making it impossible to open files. The only workaround is to close the quickstarter.exe from the background and start opening your office file without the quickstarter

Steps to Reproduce:
1. startup your computer, making sure that the quickstart.exe is running
2. double click on a file from libreoffice Writer or Calc
3. the error screenshot see attached appears

Actual Results:
I cannot continue to open the file.

Expected Results:
there is no given solution, other than to have the tiny little background app be closed and open the file without the background startup app, making the time to take much longer until Libreoffice becomes ready and opened up

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
In the menu > Tools > Option under -LibreOffice +General there is the Quickstarter to be ticked, in order to have LibreOffice be started up at launch of Windows (for the current windows user only) At the time of installing LibreOffice you will bea asked if you want to startup LibreOffice faster.

Hint: not sure this is related to the fact, that all my LibreOffice files are being password protected

see also bug 155213

today, I received the error again, meaning it sometimes does not show up, only sometimes. Not sure this was related to the fact, that I had my computer on hybernation mode turned of last night.

So, what happened:
I have a LO BASE file, that connects to a SPREADSHEET which is password protected. With the quickstart.exe app that was active yesterday prior to the hybernation mode, it could not understand my correct password. As a work-around I closed/killed that tiny app called within the task manager, then had my BASE file start again, entered the correct password - it opened fine.

Then, I started the tiny app called quickstart.exe from the Startup folder, and it also opened my BASE file and accepted my correct password to the Spreadsheet
