Description David 2022-11-30 14:38:16 UTC
Description:
I cannot get LibreOffice documents (either docx or odt) to appear in the Recents folder. Initially, I thought this was a MacOS issue and regenerated the index. Still no LibreOffice appears. If I go through Finder and open the file by clicking on it directly, they do appear. It took me quite a while to deduce that there was probably a minor coding issue causing this. It's an inconvenience, of course. Maybe you can address this in a future release.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.save document
2.check Recents folder in Mac running under Ventura
3.No appearance of a file created and saved in LibreOffice

Actual Results:
No listing of a LibreOffice document created and saved in a Mac with Ventura OS installed.

Expected Results:
An ODT or DOCX created in Libre Office should be listed in the Recents folder in a Mac using the MAC OS Ventura.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
Version: 7.3.2.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 49f2b1bff42cfccbd8f788c8dc32c1c309559be0
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.16; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Since it's possible to generate a listing by opening a pre-existing file in Finder, this seems ike a minor glitch.

Ah, my bad, I should have read to the end.

I *can* reproduce this behaviour.

The reason I thought I couldn't is because I generally open all of my documents from the Finder, which, as the OP has indicated, causes the documents to be added to the "Recent" folder.

Was this behaviour always there though, or has it only started happening since Ventura was released. I am unable to test.
