No repro with Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 3ccbfaaf95005a34ca64ad250463ef5ce8842f43
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3

Seems to be fixed with dev version. Please could you test it with
dev version? You can download it here:

Comment 5 jindam, vani 2023-01-16 00:16:55 UTC
the issue seems to be resolved with: Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: d6c54b3d4ee7 [fdroid]
Comment 6 Stéphane Guillou (stragu) 2023-01-16 16:58:47 UTC
With both 7.5 and 7.6 I can still see an empty document with "32 words, 250 characters" at the bottom.

- In Google Docs: empty document, word count is 0
- In MS Word: empty document, word count is 0

Are we expecting to see contents in the document? Isn't the issue that LO reports wrong stats, which is not fixed?
