Description: Windows Imaging Component (WIC) is a COM-based imaging codec framework of Microsoft Windows, with this support LibreOffice would be possible to import and export wider range of image formats, make them display and print properly, and regardless the limited support in LibreOffice. Steps to Reproduce: N/A Actual Results: N/A Expected Results: N/A Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: N/A
With this support it's also possible to load image via following codes packs: https://storage.googleapis.com/downloads.webmproject.org/releases/webp/WebpCodecSetup.exe https://github.com/mirillis/jpegxl-wic https://github.com/FLIF-hub/FLIF/tree/v0.2
Why use this thing tied to Windows rather than a cross-platform library like https://github.com/libjxl/libjxl or the FLIF lib?
I've seen that MS Office have already implemented this functionality. BTW, does macOS and Linux also have similar API?
Hello Volga, Thank you for reporting the bug. Can you please confirm if the issue still exists in the latest build? Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build.
