Download https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=175795
Open the database.
Start in pane "Queries" the query "Query_Starter". 
Content of the query will be shown. 
Query is write protected.
SQL here: SELECT * FROM "starter"

Close query.
Go to Tolls → Table Filter… and set "starter" visible.
Go to pane "Tables".
Set View → Refresh Tables.

Back to pane "Query" and start "Query_Starter".
Query is now writable.

There is no reason to set a hidden table only readable. Setting tables unvisible is only for getting a better overview. Every user of the database could set it back to show all tables.
