Description Ian Eales 2021-03-23 20:50:21 UTC
Description:
2nd data series does not scale to secondary Y axis 2.
Stock Gain color is same for all series, but HiLo is not.

If the stock chart is not capable of plotting two series on different axis, functionality should be disabled

Steps to Reproduce:
1.add two data 4 column series for Stock Type 2
2.change one series to Secondary axis
3.attempt to change Stock Gain Color

Actual Results:
2nd series does not plot on second axis, Stock gain color changes for all series

Expected Results:
2nd series on Secondary axis, separate Gain color for 2nd series.

Reproducible: Always

Please explain how I can do step 2. Also, please attach an example file that shows the state after step 2.

Dual series stock chart example

I frequently plot multiple series on a chart and use the 2nd access when scales are vastly different.

If I have 12 months and want to plot some annual values, the categories will be 12+ rows.

The monthly data includes the number of additional annual values as blank cells. The annual data has 12 blank cells and the annual values.

There are two series in the charts in the file. The bar chart allows selection of each. The stock chart does not and does not plot Min/Max values

Thanks. Indeed, if I edit the stock chart and right-click the series, Format Stock Gain, change the colour, it changes it for all. I also tested on Linux with 6.3 and Windows with 3.3.

Duplicate Stock Type 2 Second Axis Fault

This bug has been open for more than 3 years and nothing has been done.

This issue is a MAJOR waste of time for people who follow the HELP instructions only to find out it does not work.

What happens is the 2nd axis assignment is removed when the chart type is changed to stock and the 2 axis items are not shown.

Example images of what happens follow

BACK TO SQUARE ONE - change type to Bar and all Sec Y assignments are GONE

The loss of Sec Y Axis assignments is likely lost when Stock is chosen for the chart type
