Description Dan Freund 2019-03-24 18:53:51 UTC
Description:
New install of LibreOffice 6.1.5
Used Writer to pull up a page with Noto sans font, bold text appeared weirdly
Opened https://www.fastmail.com/login/ on Chrome
Everything bold on that page and, when I signed in, my inbox
Tried https://www.fastmail.com/login/ on Edge and it appears normal
Uninstall of LibreOffice did not solve problem
Uninstall and reinstall of Chrome did not solve problem
So far I haven't noticed the problem on any other site, but the fact that noto bold text displayed weirdly on a LibreOffice Writer document even before I opened Chrome might be a clue

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install 6.1.5
2. Open Chrome and go to https://www.fastmail.com/login/
3. Open Edge and go to https://www.fastmail.com/login/
4. Compare text

Actual Results:
I got all bold on Chrome; bold and light face on Edge

Expected Results:
Not screw up LibreOffice Writer display of noto bold text
Not screw up fastmail.com display on Chrome

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Thanks for your help.

Hello Dan Freund,
You mean the problem happens in Chrome if LibreOffice is installed but it vanishes if LibreOffice is uninstall ?

Thanks for following up. I did something to fix the problem. Unfortunately, now a month and a half later, I no longer remember what that was - or whether I even knew what it was when I did it (because I was trying so many different things). I'm thinking you need to close this report as unsolvable.
