Created attachment 148364 [details] A Writer document with a typical offering/invoice table Dear everybody, attached document contains a table, that is typically found in offer/invoice documents. Please load the document and attempt to add an item. E.g.: put cursor in "Microbes" row, and add another table row below. You might notice, that the format of the fields is cloned (this is one of the latest user visible achievements in this area, much appreciated, thank you!), but the formula in the unit sum column is missing. Adding an article involves specifying an amount (ok), name (ok), unit price (ok), and a formula in the last column (= amount * unit prize)(improvable). From a users point of view, the last step is the most inconvenient one, and it would be nice to behave similar to a Calc table here, where such a formulae would be cloned correctly. The expected result would be have any formulae cloned from above.
I'll confirm as useful. But we still need an assessment if feasible. And we need to take into account that sometimes you don't want formulae cloned. Maybe consider to clone formula only with Ctrl pressed during Insert Rows, regardless if menu/right-click menu/toolbar.
From a users POV and from "experience of least surprise" department, you will want to have the formulae cloned, as well as everything else (formats). Another reason is: it is much easier to remove formulae than adding them. Especially since Writer doesn't have the Calc's concept of fill operations (and I second this - Writer is not Calc). FYI, cloning formats used to fail in former times as well: https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=50177 Yes, I reported these issues about 13 years ago. At that time, it was flagged trivial, but who knows....
