Description ask4support 2018-09-10 08:16:52 UTC
I've found an issue concerning SD card access using device mentioned in the summary.

Despite the fact that LibreOffice Viewer does have all it's permissions allowed, every time I try to save file to my external SD card, LibreOffice Viewer refuses the valid and writable path with this message:

"Unable to create new file, please check entered file name.android.support.v4.provider.TreeDocumentFile@acff4aauntitled.odt"

I've found some apps can use Storage access framework and the vast majority of these do not suffer from this issue.

Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build

Hi, I'm sorry, but I've upgraded to Android 9 and LibreOffice from provided URL always crashes when creating/opening a document.

That's quite a problem, as my SD card has a broken filesystem and HDD in my computer is failing. :-(

Should we close this bug report for now, then? You can always open a new one should you encounter the issue again later.
