In PDF the underline is just a line, which stays in place (as objects should do). There is no foolproof way Libreoffice would detect it as "Underline" since it has no relation to the text (other than being placed under the text).

What you could do is install Roboto font and see if it makes the text and line align right (and make sure you move the line when your text moves/is edited).

This PDF was created using InDesign. The same happens when you export a pdf from LibreOffice Writer.

I have no idea if this should be NEW or RESOLVED - WONTFIX.

Maybe LibreOffice could bundle Roboto font to fix this?

No, it is your duty to install fonts you need.


thorsten commented on this on IRC saying: yeah, with the current import architecture - pretty much impossible to fix. so WONTFIX in my view
