Description Bjomal Olsen 2022-04-13 12:46:06 UTC
Description:
The word "Stenge" is incorrect for closing a window. The proper translation should bed "Lukk"

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open any dialog window that you should be able to close again (i.e. "About LibreOffice")

Actual Results:
The "Close" button say "Steng"

Expected Results:
The "Close" button should say "Lukk"

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
A video from a school teacher explaining the difference can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md1SHAdqZRk

Also, almost every other user interface in norwegian uses the word "Lukk".

Karl, I see you're contributing to Norwegian Bokmål translations, can you please comment on this?
Comment 2 Buovjaga 2023-01-16 09:28:54 UTC
It seems to be a mixed bag of Lukk and Steng: https://translations.documentfoundation.org/languages/nb_NO/libo_ui-master/search/?offset=1&q=source%3Aclose

Bjomal: if you want to make suggestions directly into the translation system, you can create an account and log into our Weblate with it: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Infra/SingleSignOn

Adding Olav to CC as well, based on https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Language_Teams

Olav, Karl, do you agree to preferring "Lukk" over "Steng" for closing windows / dialogs?
