I was quite confused when using the application why it was not working (it works fine now). There were two points where I got lost.

1) I thought the app would initiate bluetooth pairing as needed. The instructions should suggest that you need to pair before using the remote application.
2) The mobile application does not state that after enabling the remote on the desktop PC, you need to restart the desktop software (all of LO). I spent quite some time playing with bluetooth, and searching for why it did not work, until I restarted LO, at which point it magically worked.

The instructions I am referring to are in the "Requirements" page of the application. Specifically the text should include "restart all libreoffice applications to take effect" (under "generic"). In the bluetooth section it should say "A paired bluetooth connection to the target computer", or similar (emphasising "pairing").

This could alternately be changed in the LO desktop version to clarify this (eg via a popup dialog.

I am using version 2.1.3 downloaded from F-Droid.

Thanks - the remote is quite good!

Sounds like an overhaul of the docs here would be helpful.
