Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> Compatibility collects multiple choices regarding compatibility with other writer-like apps: Old OpenOffice versions and  MS Word.

While that dialog leaves much to be desired (see bug 157006) - Impress should have one too, I believe. At the very least, this should cover:

* Animation effects unsupported by other apps
* Shapes not available/possible to draw in other apps

and I'm sure our developers can come up with a few more relevant settings.
