Description Adriano M 2024-03-14 09:33:39 UTC
Description:
Why isn’t it possible to customize and then permanently save the font size within a Comment in LibreOffice Calc? Currently the font size is set to a default 10 which apparently is not changeable. For example if you reduce it to 8, then save and close the spreadsheet, and later reopen that same spreadsheet the font size is automatically reset again to 10. Can you please fix this bug so that the user, and not Calc, sets the chosen font size permanently? Thanks.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set a new font size inside a Comment in LibreOffice Calc.
2. Save and close the spreadsheet with the font size of your choosing.
3. Reopen said spreadsheet, and your font size is reset by Calc to standard 10.

Actual Results:
After reopening a spreadsheet with the user's previously chosen text size in Comments (for example 8) Calc eliminates it and resets it to default 10.

Expected Results:
Text size in Comments is automatically reset to default 10.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Text size in Comments should be left to size 8.

What file format do you use to save, it works saving in ods format but not with docx format.

Opening on Excel shows the formatted comments. So seems the issue is at opening with LibreOffice saved as docx format.

Reproducible:
Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 3ba85b7786663da4f2de1a3c2fe7ee9a27657293
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded

Version: 24.2.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: bf759d854b5ab45b6ef0bfd22e51c6dc4fb8b882
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22631; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded

Opens fine with:

Thank you very much m_a_riosv. You're right, if the file is saved in LibreOffice’s native .ODS format than the text size remains as I set it. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with the traditional .XLSX format. Let’s hope this limitation will be solved in the future. Thanks again.
