Description Dionisio Pequeño 2024-01-17 18:08:27 UTC
Description:
Today, January 17, 2024 I have installed LibreOffice. I discovered it while trying to search the Internet for a free word processing program.
After I have been typing for a long period of time (about an hour or an hour and a quarter), the program quits unexpectedly.
I don't know why it happens to me.
It is version 7.5.9.2 (x86_64), in Spanish.
My operating system is Windows10-x64.
I have not been able to organize the program so that it saves what I have written periodically.
Thanks for your help

Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Actual Results:
After typing the text, for a period of approximately one hour, the program closes.

Expected Results:
Program is cloded.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Program is cloded.

Thanks for the report, and sorry you lost some work.

The new version 24.2 has "save autorecovery information" turned on by default, which should help new users recover most data in case of crash.
In any version, you can make sure you have that setting turned on in: Tools > Options > Load/Save > General.
I recommend updating to version 7.6 or 24.2, as 7.5 will not see further releases.

Regarding the crash you experienced, without more information (steps to reproduce it, crash report, backtrace...), it will be difficult for us to investigate.

What might be useful is:
- the full version information copied from Help > About LibreOffice
- the Skia log (in 7.6, it can easily be copied with Tools ▸ Options... ▸ LibreOffice ▸ View)

Thank you!
