The better tool for those tasks is Draw. There is bug 125275 about the default resolution at tools > options > draw > grid, bug 125354 about isometric grids, and bug 78035 to define the grid per document (and many other). Point is that we have a more or less flexible grid. And if we make this a customizable number it adds confusion. There are also options to switch a grid on/off like using the master, a template, or layers. My take > WFM. Other opinions? We discussed the topic in the design meeting. While different grids are not easy to customize the use case is clear and affects probably many people. So the suggestion is to make it easier to change the values by introducing a UNO command that opens a dedicated grid property dialog replicating what's available at the sidebar. |
