Description osol84 2013-06-24 11:24:31 UTC
Problem description:
Opening any formatting menu/window takes too long time. Right now I have to wait for 1 min 4 seconds for anything to happen. The software becomes unresponsive during this timeperiod.

Steps to reproduce (format character)
1. Select some text, open the menu "Format", choose "Character" (Tecken in swedish version).
2. Wait 1 min 4 seconds for window to open.
3. Make your changes and press OK.

Steps to reproduce (format paragraph)
1. Select some text, open the menu "Format", choose "Paragraph" (Tecken in swedish version).
2. Wait 1 min 4 seconds for window to open.
3. Make your changes and press OK.

Steps to reproduce (edit style)
1. Select some text, open the list of styles.
2. Right click and choose "Edit Style".
2. Wait 1 min 4 seconds for window to open.
3. Make your changes and press OK.

Current behavior:
I have to wait 1 min and 4 seconds before the menu opens.

Expected behavior:
The formatting menu should open right away.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.0.4.2 release

Is now a bug for me: the character and paragraph dialogs take ridiculously long to open. The delay is around 1 min 40 sec.

libreoffice-writer version: 1:5.2.1-1
Distribution: debian sid 64bit, fully updated

I did remove $HOME/.config/libreoffice and let it be recreated. No effect.

Any more details that could help?

Can you test with a recent master build?
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF/current/

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided further testing results.
